Hey hey! Soooo, you’ve somehow stumbled upon my page, and now you’re wondering who the heck I am, huh? Well, you’re in luck, because I’m here to tell you! I’m just a dude, that grew up in a small town, fell in-love with animation, and now¬†I try to tell stories with it!

ok – So there’s a little more to me than that, but I’ll try to keep it relevant for ya. ūüėČ If you’d like to explore my life a little bit more¬†though, feel free to check out the ole Instagram.

My name is Carter Boyce. I’m a Student Academy Award winning Director and Animator. I graduated from DePaul University in 2015, and won my Academy Award for my Senior Thesis film, “Die Flucht,” in the animation category during the 2016 SAA. The film also received the top 3 awards at DePaul‚Äôs student film showcase, Premiere, including Judges Choice Award, Faculty Choice Award, And Best Animation, making it the¬†very first animation to win the Judges Choice Award at DePaul. Since then I’ve had the honor of being named one of the 50 most notable Alumni at Parkland College, where I first discovered my love for animation.

I’ve been studying animation, both in school and out, for the past 10¬†years, and there’s not a thing in the world I’m more passionate about. Except for maybe my wiener dog, Henry.¬†When I’m not working on projects for school or work, I’m trying to learn new software and techniques so that I can continue to hone my skills in order to always produce unique and interesting.¬†Aside from animation, I explore several other artistic endeavors, including handcrafted character models, woodworking, and playing the Ukulele. Snoop around the place, and you might come across some of the work I’ve done in those areas!
